On Saturday, July 20th, we invite you to the Mixed Grounds gallery in Logan Heights, where you’ll experience an unforgettable showcase of original textile art and paintings created by a talented group of twenty local artists, including MuXu Creations. Each artwork is a tribute to the ancestors who have shaped our lives and cultures.
Claudia Rodriguez-Biezunski will present 10 original textile art pieces, each telling a powerful story about a deceased relative from her past. Her intricate and meaningful creations explore the memories, experiences, and legacies of those who came before us, bringing their stories to life through textiles.
In addition to MuXu, the art show will feature the creations of twenty local artists who will be joining Claudia in honoring their ancestors. Through their paintings, these artists will share the love and memories they carry, creating a space for reflection and celebration of family, heritage, and cultural connections. This event is part of the #WorldDesignCapital2024 and promises to be a moving experience for all.
The art show will be open to the public from 12pm to 8pm in the beautiful Mixed Grounds gallery space. Come and explore the artwork at your leisure, and be sure to join us for the live music, live poetry, and live sewing beginning at 4pm, where the energy will truly come to life.
